Dear Clients,

We inform you that from July 15, 2022, temporary restrictions on crossing the state border of the Russian Federation, established by Government Decrees No. 635-r dated March 16, 2020 and No. 763-r dated March 27, 2020, are cancelled.

Now foreign citizens can arrive in Russia by any means of transport.

Also, the requirements to provide the results of PCR testing for COVID-19 for citizens of the Republic of Belarus upon arrival by air in Russia are cancelled.

For other citizens, the requirements to provide the results of PCR testing remain.

Due to the forthcoming Italian national holidays in June and in August, the Visa Application Centers of the Russian Federation in Italy will be closed on the following dates:

 – 02/06/2022 – Italian Republic Day: all Visa Application Centers will be closed.

We inform you that starting from March 1, 2022 the Visa Application Center in Milan expands the range of consular services provided.

In addition to obtaining visas for entry into the Russian Federation, Russian and foreign citizens can apply in the Visa Application Center for the following consular services:

1. Obtaining foreign passports for citizens of the Russian Federation valid for up to 5 years;

2. Preparation of documents to obtain Russian Federation citizenship for minors;

3. Document translation;

4. Certification of the authenticity of translation;

5. Notarization of power of attorney, consent, statement;

6. Document copy certification;

7. Preparation of three types of certificates (certificate of no impediment to marriage in Italy “Nulla osta al matrimonio”, certificate of confirmation of discrepancies in Russian documents “Stessa persona fisica”, certificate of no criminal record on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Detailed information about the services mentioned above, indicating the cost and terms of their execution, will be available on the website soon.

Visiting the Center regarding the consular issues will be possible by a prior appointment, which will be available on the website of the Visa Application Center in the coming days.

–  business “crew member” on the basis of provisions of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia or on the basis of invitations issued by the territorial offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on paper or in electronic format issued after 16/03/2020;

– business “technical service” on the basis of provisions of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia or on the basis of invitations issued by the territorial offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on paper or in electronic format issued after 29/04/2020;

–  business “driver” on the basis of provisions of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia or on the basis of invitations issued by the territorial offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on paper or in electronic format issued after 16/03/2020;

 –  business visa “medical care” on the basis of provisions of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia or on the basis of invitations issued by the territorial offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on paper or in electronic format issued after 06/06/2020;

–  “work” visa for those who are highly qualified specialists on the basis of provisions of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia or on the basis of invitations issued by the territorial offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on paper or in electronic format, attaching a contract of valid work or civil contract for the execution of works (provision of services) with the employer or client of the works (services).

The issuance of visas not indicated in the list is temporarily suspended until a future date.

Warning! From 15 July, the mandatory 14-day quarantine for all those returning to the Russian Federation from abroad on regular air flights is canceled (excluding foreign people who enter Russia on a work visa).

Upon entry into Russia, foreign citizens must have a certificate in Russian or English that confirms the negativity of the COVID-19 test, carried out a maximum of 3 days before arrival in the country.

If the foreign citizen is not in possession of the aforementioned document, he will have to undergo the relevant test at his own expense within three days of arrival directly in Russia. If the results of the coronavirus test prove positive, citizens will have to undergo a period of self-isolation at their place of residence until negative test results are obtained.

Russian citizens are required to undergo the relevant test within three days of their arrival in Russia.

The emission of ordinary private visas is possible also if the entry of a foreign citizen, who is a member of the family of a Russian citizen, is necessary to take care of a close family member which is seriously ill, elderly or a small child, o in connection with the death of a close relative.

For foreign citizens and country-less persons, holding a permanent residency permit (вид на жительство), and those who are in passage for up to 24 hours without leaving the airport transit area, the temporary   limits are not applicable. 

Foreign citizens holding a temporary residency permit (разрешение на временное проживание), can   enter the territory of Russian Federation only and exclusively for urgent humanitarian circumstances, if spouses, minor children or disable children of legal age of Russian citizens, stated that they receive a visa in advance for a private visit. 

The emission of electronic visas has been temporary suspended.

Visas are issued to family members (spouses, minor children, disable children of legal age) of Russian citizens on the basis of a written application for a joint entry or on the basis of an invitation from the Federal Migration Service (FMS) of the Russian Federation, if the family member is a Russian citizen who is on the territory of the Russian Federation. 

Family members (parents, adoptive parents, adopted children, guardians and trustees) of Russian citizens can enter the territory of Russian Federation by private visas issued on the basis of an application by a    Russian family member or on the basis of an invitation from the Federal Migrant Service (FMS) of the     Russian Federation.

For foreign citizens and country-less persons, holding a permanent residency permit (вид на жительство), and those who are in passage for up to 24 hours without leaving the airport transit area, the temporary   limits are not applicable. 

Foreign citizens holding a temporary residency permit (разрешение на временное проживание), can   enter the territory of Russian Federation only and exclusively for urgent humanitarian circumstances, if spouses, minor children or disable children of legal age of Russian citizens, stated that they receive a visa in advance for a private visit. 

The emission of electronic visas has been temporary suspended.

Moreover, in connection with the warning of the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in Milan about the limited access of visitors due to the extension of the COVID-19 virus, we inform you that from the 2nd of April 2020 the Visa Center of the Russian Federation in Milan will have the following working hours:

On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – the Visa Center of the Russian Federation in Milan will remain closed. Except for the call-center service which will remain operational from 8.30 to 13.00 and from 14.00 to 17.30 via the following channels:

We hereby inform you that according to the latest updates published on the website of the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in Palermo in connection with the entry into force of the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dating back to March 12, 2020 No. 597, in order to ensure state security, protect public health and avoid the extension of a new coronavirus infection in Russia, as well as in connection with the deterioration of the epidemiological situation in Italy, Germany, Spain and France, the Operating Committee on the prevention of coronavirus in Russia has established the temporary suspension from 00.00 on 13 March 2020 of air connections between the Russian Federation and Italy, with the exception of the Moscow-Rome-Moscow flight as well as charter flights provided in order to transport all citizens to their countries and to transport the citizens of the Russian Federation until all citizens are completely exported to their countries.

Also, it is temporary banned for the citizens of the Italian Republic, foreign citizens and persons without citizenship arriving from the territory of the Italian Republic to cross the state border of the territory of the Russian Federation for the purpose of studying and employment, as well as for private, tourist and transit purposes, with the exception of the citizens of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as aircraft crews, members of official delegations and persons holding a residence permit in the Russian Federation.

We also inform you that from 00:00 of March 13, 2020 it is temporary banned to issue visas to the citizens of the Italian Republic, with the exception for business, humanitarian, diplomatic and official type of visas.

Step I.

Make sure you are clear about purpose of your visit. Our Visa Center will help you through the entire visa application process but we are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing your purpose of visit.

We have to remind you that Visa center provides only visa application process related services. The decision to issue or refuse a visa is at the sole discretion of the diplomatic missions of the Russian Federation in Italy.

Step II.

Based on your Visa Type please prepare a set of documents required.

Step III.

Follow the instructions and fill in, print out and sign your visa application form on the website https://visa.kdmid.ru/. Glue one recent photo as per the photo specifications. 

Step IV.

Make an appointment to the closest Russia visa center.

Step V.

Submit a complete set of documents to Russia visa center in person and pay visa and service fees accordingly at the time of submission.

Step VI.

After the confirmed processing time collect your passport at the Russia visa center. Please make sure you have the original receipt given to you during the submission which will be collected from you as a proof of delivery of your passport.   

For your comfort you may use our Courier delivery service.

It is Applicant’s responsibility to check the validity of the visa issued to ensure that it covers the period of stay requested, the number or entries required, and that it is valid for the purpose of trip immediately after collection of the passport.
